Carole Maso reading

(I hope I posted this in the right place...)

"The future won't, can't be the same and yet.. one worries about it."

Though I thought this essay was quite possibly the most pretentious and meandering piece of writing I've read in recent memory, I did appreciate Maso's comments about the future. Worrying about the future while clinging desperately to the past isn't healthy for anyone - the world evolves every day, so why not jump on all of the new inventions and innovations and see how to grow from there? However, it's a tough prospect to ride the tide of the future. Sometimes skills and forms of entertainment become obsolete over time. But still, it's the only way anything can change and become better. Just see what's out there!
