Carole Maso Quotation

"You say there will be no readers in the future, that there are hardly any readers now. You count your measly 15,000—but you have always underestimated everything"

I chose this quote because I am often thinking about how technology is wiping out everything else. I have always been someone who is a little scared of the uncertainty that the future brings. Although Online news sources are taking over the good old newspapers, I think there is something very unique about novels that keep them going. Even though I don't read as much as I wish I did, I still think it is important to read. I think this quote is saying that people are underestimating the power of a well-written book. Books may become less popular over time but they will never disappear.
