Carole Maso Response

"Fear of growth, fear of change, fear of breaking one's own mold, fear of disturbing the product, fear of indifference, fear of failure, fear of invisibility, fear of, fear of, fear of..."
This quote stood out to me because I realized how much I can realte to this overwhelming fear. Writers especially feel all these fears when realising that others will, critisize, anaylyze, and scrutinize their work. However, coming to Miami has forced me to supress my fears, and be my own person despite what others think. I love how this ties into the video we watched about making art, because we can't let fear keep us from making art. We need to write whatever we want. We don't have to fit anyone's mold. Fail and try again, fear is the only thing stopping us from seeing the posibilites.
